Dr. Mike Munilla:

When Dr. Mike started Munilla Dental, he wanted to create a different experience for patients. After working for 8 years as an associate in both corporate and private practice, he’s taken the best from both and implemented those at Munilla Dental. Dr. Mike created a practice where the focus is on getting to know and understand you as a patient; and in order to do this, he believes the most important aspect is taking time for you. Time to listen and understand your goal for your oral health and smile, and most importantly, time to explain to you the best treatment options so you are a partner with him in achieving your goals. His philosophy is every patient is unique and different and each patient deserves a treatment plan tailored to them.

Over the years, Dr. Mike has taken countless continuing education to sharpen and enhance his expertise and knowledge to make sure he is current on the newest and best procedures to provide to his patients. He wants to not only provide a beautiful smile but to also make sure it lasts.

Dr. Mike graduated with his undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2005 before attending and graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia as a dentist in 2009. Wanting to further his expertise in comprehensive family care, Dr. Mike joined the National Health Service Corps and opened a family dental practice in Storm Lake, Iowa, providing dental services to rural communities. He spent almost 4 wonderful years surviving the cold before deciding to head warmer weather in Texas.

In 2012, he moved to the great state of Texas to be closer to his family. After being here almost 5 years he wants to make Texas his home and especially Southlake and the surrounding communities. When not focused on work and building his practice he can be found discovering Dallas, trying new restaurants with friends, traveling abroad, or at home relaxing with his family and their rescue chocolate lab Zoey.

Office Manager

Chelsey

Chelsey is the first smiling face you’ll meet at Munilla Dental and usually the last one you’ll see as you leave. She joined the team in April 2017 after moving with her husband Nathan from East Texas to Ft. Worth. After graduating from Grayson College in 2015 on a full softball scholarship, Chelsey chose to enter the dental field because it allows her to combine her love for customer service and meeting new people, with her incredible organizational skills. Growing up, Chelsey’s Aunt, who is a dental hygienist, instilled a love for the art that is dentistry. Chelsey strives to help patients find ways and solutions to achieve the heathy beautiful smiles they want affordably. Her energetic spirit, desire for perfection, and endless patience ensures she will do all she can to make your visit simple and straightforward. From handling your insurance questions, billing questions, financing options, or even just getting to know you, Chelsey is your best advocate as a patient.

When she’s not busy at the office, Chelsey can be found working out at Pure Barre, visiting family and friends back home, exploring Ft. Worth, or keeping up with Zeus – an energetic and strong-willed Pittbull. If her husband Nathan can convince her, she can also be found on weekends off-road mudding in their Polaris RZR Side-by-side.

Dental Assistant

Ibeth

Ibeth started with Munilla Dental in May 2017 and has been an invaluable addition. While she is new to Munilla Dental she is veteran in the dental field. Ibeth brings 15 years of experience to Munilla Dental. She graduated from ATI dental assisting school in 2002 as a dental assistant and has worked for the past 3 years with Dr. Munilla. She brings a ready smile and a wheelhouse of skills to make your dental visit a truly wonderful one. Her passion is changing lives through smiles. She loves to work with patients to help them reach their personal goals for their smiles. To Ibeth there is never an unimportant question or too many questions. She wants to help each patient understand their treatment options and goals and work with Dr. Munilla to achieve them. She strives to work quickly, thoroughly, and pain-free so that you as a patient can relax and actually enjoy your visit to the dentist and not be anxious of any dental procedure.

When Ibeth isn’t busy with work and patients, she’s just as busy at home. She somehow manages to juggle work along with being a mother to two boys, Christian and Jacob and one little princess Valerie. She and her husband can usually be found on weekends at their kids’ favorite places: the pool or waterpark.
